Founder's Story
Mayura was founded by Matt Savarino, who builds systems that turn raw information into clear, useful insights.
Enterprise Data Infrastructure
Matt was a data and AI forward-deployed engineer at Microsoft Azure AI (2019-2025). He worked directly with organizations to build innovative data processing and intelligence pipelines in under 8 weeks. Every quarter, a new challenge in a new industry. This deepened his understanding of enterprise data infrastructure at scale and the patterns that make AI deployments succeed.
Agents Before the Category Had a Name
In 2023 he built a multi-agent system out of Minecraft bots at a Microsoft hackathon, before agents were a product category. The next year he built an agent management system on Microsoft Dynamics for running fleets of AI agents, before agent-ops had a name. Both taught the same lesson: the model is the easy part, and the hard part is keeping a fleet of agents fed with context and accountable to a human.
Content Processing at Broadcast Scale
Before that, Matt spent 13 years at Disney building content processing systems at ABC-ESPN scale, serving millions of users and billions of views. He was the sole engineer for ESPN's community profiles, comments, and forums, and led a culture change at ABC through A/B testing. Those years taught him how high-throughput data systems work, what processing at scale really costs, and how to optimize product development.
Why Mayura Exists
Matt built the continuous-watching pattern three times before Mayura, across Disney, Microsoft, and mid-market deployments. The same pattern continues: turn raw information into understanding that keeps building, and get it in front of people while it still matters. Each time, he hit the same constraints. Cloud costs scaled against success, and some data couldn't leave the building.
He built that pattern independently each time, in three different places. The convictions came home with him; the code stayed where it was written.
